Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck | Page 1634 - TractorByNet
Put a toolbox on the farm truck. Didn't want to put my good hand tools in it and risk losing them out in the field. Bought wrenches 1/4" to 1 1/4" and similar size metrics, similar socket sets both regular and deep with ratchets. Screw drivers and pliers. The screw drivers are too soft and replaced with old craftsman almost immediately.

Most everything that HF sells today in the upscale tool lines fails to qualify as suck tools. Having said that I don't much care for the HF rivet assortments. Much better quality one are available elsewhere. They seemed to be well on their way to distance themselves from their "suck tools"...

Back in the day, Northern Tool came onto the scene with a few stores, a killer catalog, and lots of good stuff for good prices. Then Harbor Freight started to appear - first on the web, then more and more stores and lots of catalogs. So, who do you buy from more, and why?

Harbor freight and other 4.5" grinders are pretty inexpensive so being a self proclaimed tool junkie I have acquired a handful of 4.5" grinders leaving specific grinding wheels on each one all the time. I use a cordless grinder specifically for wafer wheels and cutting some steel.
