Yesterday the 50th Flying Training Squadron was officially deactivated, marking a significant milestone in the history of pilot training at Columbus Air Force Base. As CAFB continues to optimize pilot training we honor the accomplishments of those that came before us and look forward to new advancements such as streamlined development of student pilots and the new fifth-generation fighter aircraft trainer, the T-7A Red Hawk.
